"Poppins "

How many of you know this chocolate! One of the famous chocolates that I have been seeing since my childhood. The first is its attractive colours of the candy. It's a small packet consisting of around 10 candies in one packet that are about the size of a 50paise coin. But that small one when you toss it into your mouth will give a refreshing energy and it's also very tasty. This candy was a discovery of the Parle company and that once has its brand sustaining well in the market. They are very low cost candies and were also not that harmful. They were made out of sugar. And it also had a healthy competition when it was developed in the market. Mainly kids were attracted to it. I as a kid, also loved it and now I still have that little craze left in me. My daddy loves it very much. 

One interesting thing is this candy at that time was advertised through children's magazines like Tinkle , Chanda mama etc. They were amazing magazines meant exclusively for children and I still have a collection of them with me. Stories of suppandi if you have heard were published in these magazines. And in those magazines these candy is advertised by comic strips. They are simple creative and wonderful and also very attractive that easily catches kids'attention. That was their marketing strategy. They probably aimed at children as their target audience but even adults were much attracted to it. Because this brought the child out of each adult. A candy with memory. 

Now it is still available but I think its demand is not that much like earlier. And now they have introduced new grape flavour too which earlier was not there. 

Those days'candies are simply amazing right!
