Two new words 😁😁

Have you ever enjoyed the rain. Of course who wouldn't like rain unless it doesn't disturb our plans. I would love to watch rain. When I was in school I would always like to have rain in the morning, even now I do wish for it, but it was always my school time memory. Not only to me, most of us would have wished for that because that day will be an off. Afternoon rains are special because that's the perfect time for a coffee or tea along with 'samosa' or 'bajji'. That pleasantness is invaluable. Night rains are always cold enough that it gives us a nice sleep unless it's not a heavy one with thunder. I took this rain topic because I always liked that mud smell that comes when it's about to rain or after it rained. You could actually feel the mud and smell the soil. Not only when it rains, you can experience it even after watering the plant or garden. You get that feeling of what we can call it as a hair-raising sensation or goosebumps. Some kind of rush inside us would be felt. I feel it actually. When I was at school, I always loved jumping on the puddles and getting my shoes and socks wet. I would find that mixture of sand and water, that creamy, smooth texture where not too much water on the mud but be like clay, associated with dairy milk chocolate. Weird association right! I know but I had fun with that 😂.

I got to remember this because today I came across this word 'petrichor' which is defined to be the earthy smell that comes after the rain falls on the mud. Google said that the etymology of the word is from Greek.

This term is used in a positive note of the description of the rain.

On the other hand, speaking out the emotion that comes inside me introduced me to another word that is 'Interoception'. This is defined as ' that ability to understand the sense inside our body like hunger, thirst, heartbeat etc'. This is closely associated with self consciousness and understanding our body movements. We would feel hunger, emotions like anger, sadness, happiness and many more and we could find how our mind and body reacts to them. Our mind sends signals to our body to which the latter reacts and that when we could sense them can be termed as Interoception.

The *Interocept* awareness that I have when I experience the *Petrichor* in rainy days.

Nice right!
