Visit to Siruvapuri temple 🦚🙏

'Siruvapuri temple' as it is called as, a temple for Lord Murugan. Lord Murugan, according to Hindu mythology is the second son of Lord Shiva (the supreme deity) and also called as Tamil God ( Tamil kadavul). He is called as Tamil God because of his ancient roots in tamil and most of the devotion songs on him are of pure tamil words.

Lord Murugan is said to be born from the spark of the fire that came out of the third eye of Lord Shiva in order to save the other Gods and the world from the asuras (demons). He was a spark of hope to other Gods. Lord Murugan is a small boy who is known for his bravery, victory and wisdom. And there are stories in the mythology on his youth stage as well as his marriage.

The temple I visited today is well known as siruvapuri murugan temple. Actually a very small temple but the divinity to that place is invaluable. I felt very calm and positive when I entered.

The temple was a little crowded initially but later slowly started to dismiss. I got to hear that it will be very difficult to enter this temple if we go on even an ordinary tuesday because it is said that tuesday is the very special day for Lord Murugan. Of course every day is special for all the Gods.

A short history was written on a board and kept there where it said, this was the place where Lava and kusha, the twins born to Lord Ram and Sita visited after their battle with their own father. It's a separate story which I will talk about in a separate one. And this is the place , it is said that, where Lord Murugan appeared in front of Arunagirinathar who was a very great devotee of Lord murugan. And he has written many songs in praise of Lord Murugan which is titled as 'Thirupugal' (திருப்புகழ்).

They are very beautiful compositions that melts us when heard and also very powerful compositions made by Arunagirinathar.

It was a very nice place to visit and I had a peaceful time in this temple which I also liked very much. I hope and pray to Lord Muruga 🙏🏻🙇🏼‍♀️.
