Emotional packed day 😁😁

After a long time and a detachment made already, returning back to the place where I grew up gave me a feel of bliss along with elation. It made me feel that though I may have physically moved out still I have a connection with the place because that's where I spent my 18 years of life. Yes, I visited my place 'Salem' for a temple trip. Salem is where I did my entire schooling and it is a town in the down south in Tamilnadu. One remarkable landmark that will make you exactly understand where it is, is 'Yercaud' the small hill, famous for tourists visits which is in salem. And there is no doubt that there was once living a Don 😎 few years ago. Yes, it's me 😁. And the place automatically gave me the feeling of belonging and Don emotion 😁. The market roads , the temples and the famous food , everything that I was very much used to when I was there. After I dropped there yesterday, I thought I would go buy some vegetables because veggies there are available at a considerable price. Salem is know for fresh vegetables too.  One emotional moment I felt there in the market was, I went to the same shop I used to purchase when I stayed there. Since I was a regular customer back then, the vendors knew me very well. But I never expected that few vendors still remembered me and showed the same love even after four years or so, that they showed me back then.

After the nice breakfast I visited all the temples to which I used to go every week. All were the same with the same positive energy. Then I started to 'Nagainallur' a temple of Lord Ram, were the idol which was worshipped by 'Bhadrachala Ramadasu' who is a poet, singer, greatest devotee of Lord Ram and had many songs sung on him, is kept in the temple. I mainly went back to Salem to visit this temple. The temple is not in Salem. We went to the temple via Salem. I will use another blog to especially talk about this temple. After a wonderful lunch in the temple, on our return, we visited Namakkal Anjaneyar temple and on returning to Salem we were welcomed by a cool breeze along with a small rain shower. Such a beautiful scenery, that is the rain drops and the grey sky to watch through the window.

When you visit salem, one important thing you shouldn't miss is the famous chat 'thattuvadai set'. A healthy snack and appetising one too. The betroot, carrot and sometimes cucumber are grated and onions chopped, everything mixed well with salt, chilli powder, pepper powder, few lemon drops and two special chutneys one made with tomato and garlic and other with mint leaves and all are mixed well in a bowl and stuffed in between small 'murukku' and looks like mini burger in model. Don't think it's small. It will be easy to take one whole bite of burger but this small one cannot be taken a bite like that. You need to be a master to do so. I am a scholar in that so I can 😁😎.

And my day ended after a filling dinner and I had to say goodbye to Salem. A memorable day that was filled with laughter, memories, happiness, devotion and healthy stomach too.

There were certain things that were changed a little there and many the same like how I saw it before. No matter what, it gave me the nostalgic feeling and every spot there was familiar to me.
