Loyalty

Today I got to see a post on LinkedIn. The post was about a dog which saved a shopkeeper, who used to feed the dog with food daily, from a thieves group who were trying to attack the shopkeeper that night and the dog lost its eyesight in the fight with the thieves. I was not able to get the post later again. The dog was not actually owned by the shopkeeper. It was only given food daily by the shopkeeper. That loyalty we can learn from dogs actually. Even animals can sense the true emotions. This reminded me of the story ' the Elephant and the Tailor' where this tailor who daily gives banana to an elephant that belongs to the royal when it's on the way to take bath. But one day the tailor didn't have a banana so in order to move the elephant away, he pokes its trunk with a needle. This elephant doesn't do anything instead simply walks away. And on the way back it absorbs some mud that was in the puddle and splashes it on the tailor and his shop making the entire shop and the dresses that were hung around drench in mud. That was actually a perfect way of response.

Both the story and the fact that I mentioned in the beginning teaches us that loyalty is a greater emotion which shows our sincerity and at the same time would build a trust in us. And that trust should be respected and valued. We will for sure be in a position to analyse and think about the concept of trust and respect and that loyalty towards ourselves, our values, our ethics and our people whom we build that trust, on first hand, should be given importance and stay throughout. It's equally harder to follow this concept as same as gain the solution.

And if we experience something like a broken of trust we simply have to wait for the right time and the time would definitely teach the result for breaking of the loyalty.

Do read this short story 'Blind dog' by RK Narayan. It will reflect the concept of loyalty.
