Salad ninja πͺπ½️ π π₯ππ₯π§
Miles I walked to reach the shop which my Dad found through Facebook I guess. The Eureka satisfaction he had after finding the shop was a highlight feature. It was a Bhel Puri shop in T Nagar. For those who don't know what Bhel puri is, ( I am sure everyone would know but still) it's a chat item that is very easily prepared. A best, simple and healthy evening snack. The shop that he took me to, had only two items - one is Bhel puri and another is fruit salad.
When you add the puffed rice to the salad it becomes Bhel puri. And there is a special mint chutney used for to bring that unique taste.
It was a small shop, a roadside shop, in a corner of the street. Only the shop was small but the crowd appearance blocked the street. People including us were waiting to get our snack not only because of hunger but also for the taste that tempted us just by gazing at the man preparing it. He was as quick as a fast running train. 'Chak chak chak' the onions, cucumber and tomatoes went through a ruthless session. The carrots head was grated and everything was mixed in a bowl adding salt, spice and coriander leaves for delicious plating. Peanuts and that special chutney were added to it. And at the end a lemon was squeezed on the top , mixed once again and yes they were served in a cup. That was a paper cup which held enough salad for one person. A healthy snack after shopping and that made my day.
You won't believe me, I walked from Kodambakkam station to T Nagar to enjoy this snack and it's was worth for walking such a long distance to get this tasty and healthy bowl.
