The feel you have when your favourite team wins the match and with great chase is ultimate. I am speaking about yesterday's match between CSK and MI. I was mentioning cricket matches in my recent Blogs because it's the IPL season of 2026. I used to watch when I was young and lost touch in between and this season my interest was triggered again. Yes, I know my exams have also begun to play but couldn't sacrifice yesterday's, So I took the liberty of my study holidays because I didn't have an exam today and watched the match. The play was between Chennai super kings (yellow) and Mumbai Indians ( blue )and it was the 34th game of this IPL season. It's always a bit extra interesting when it is the match between yellow and blue. I, be it anyway, am a great supporter of yellow. 'Yellow always'π. In schools, we get to have house colours and sports day will be organised with competition between the four colours - yellow, red, blue and green as according to Olympic ring colours. In my school our sports dress will indicate our house colours. My house colour was yellow from my kindergarten till my 12th grade. So always yellow is special to me and yes of course we have MSD in the team. Though Dhoni is not playing now, he always belongs to yellow and yes he is training the current players too. Dhoni is the first reason for me to watch cricket.
Coming to yesterday's match, CSK seemed to have strategic moves on how to tackle their game. Sanju Samson was confident in placing his best to the fullest and made a huge contribution to the team and together they set a reasonable target as a score. Other players too had their contribution. CSK losing the toss, it was MI who had to choose and they chose to field first. The second innings was even more interesting to watch because every CSK player created a little tougher boundary for MI.
With a great difference, CSK made their triumph.
Though everything was match oriented the best part I like not only about yesterday's match but also all the so far matches, is how the players hold their team spirit, respect to their seniors, accepting the defeat, learning from their failures, practice and struggling hard to give their best and above all the bond that they hold not only within team but also as a whole as cricket players. Valuable lessons that sports teaches us and these people who follow it.
Also , Today being 24th of April, it's Sachin Tendulkar's birthday. A well known, renowned cricketer and a inspiration to many. Happy Birthday to Sachin π.
